The IB Assessment Criteria are a way for all students and teachers to measure the achievement of the IB Middle Years Program (MYP) goals. These assessments, which result from vertical planning, verify that the MYP objectives have been met. Vertical planning is carried out by the teachers responsible for developing IB tasks from grades 1 to 5.
The MYP assessment consists of tasks created and scored by classroom teachers who have the skills to judge the level of achievement achieved by students. These tasks are rigorous and rely on a range of assessment strategies. MYP teachers assess the specific objectives prescribed for each subject group using the assessment criteria established for each of those groups in each year of the program.
